Need help
Is it for a 2010? I don't think Dodge is actually offering a Lifetime warranty for the 2010 (even as an add-on).
At least, when I tried pricing it through ChryslerFactoryPlans.com, if I put in 2009, it gave me an option for a Lifetime warranty. But, if I put in 2010, it did not.
I'd check if I were you, or later you may get "oh, sorry, my mistake. They didn't have Lifetime for the 2010s, so you got a 7 year/100K miles."

Also, for some reason, it seems like a lot of dealers like to sell aftermarket extended warranties, instead of factory ones. I don't know why. My dealer on my new truck was offering me the aftermarket one for $100 over his cost, so it's not like he would make more money on the aftermarket warranty over a factory one.
But, my parents bought the aftermarket extended warranty that their dealer offered them on their Chrysler mini-van. They have just been going through the near-nightmare scenario of why to not buy aftermarket if you can get a factory warranty for anywhere near the same money.
Their mini van transmission blew up, so they took the van to the Chrysler dealership where they bought it. It's out of the factory warranty and into the extended warranty. The aftermarket (extended) warranty company insisted on sending a transmission to be installed, instead of letting the dealership order a transmission from Chrysler. Of course, what they sent was a used tranny - which is totally within their rights to do, according to the fine print of the extended warranty. That tranny blew up on the way home from the dealership! For the second try, the warranty company went ahead and approved the dealership to order a tranny from Chrysler.
I went through the EXACT same thing with the aftermarket extended warranty on my car (a Mitsubishi). Tranny blew up. Warranty company provided a replacement tranny (which was a used POS). Replacement tranny went out within less than 100 miles. Warranty company allowed the Mitsubishi dealer to order a tranny from Mitsubishi for the next repair attempt and it's been fine ever since.
