I have a 2009 sport and only have the 5 position. I think you can get the 5 position, but I think it might be an option kind of thing. My question for you all is, when you do have your truck in 4 wheel drive, does the indicator light in your display blink 4+4 while it is in.

nope should stop blinking once it is engaged, 4 or 5 seconds usually.

Sorry guys, I should of proof read my question. I have the 4 position on my truck. So no one else has the 4+4 blink on the right hand side of the gauges while the truck is in 4+4. If it is a problem, I might have to look more into it. I just thought maybe that is how dodge does it to let us know that the truck is in 4+4.

My '09 Sport (U.S.) has the 4-position range selector.

If it never stops blinking you have a problem, mine does it occasionally, I have to pull over shut the truck off for a minute restart and try it again. It usually works the second try.

If your light is blinking, you have an issue with the transfer case or the sensors. Take it to the dealer to get it resolved before it's something serious.

Thanks for the input guys. This is my first Ram, so I didn't know for sure if that is supposed to blink or not. I know my last truck (03 silverado) didn't do that. I guess I didn't think it would be a problem since nothing came on in the display about servicing the it. I will get ahold of my dealer and have them look into it. Thanks again.
