i contacted deezee and so far they dont know what caused the problem they said they have never seen that before, they offered to exchange the bars or send me as they said quote the chinese bars that mount to the body mounts but nothing about fixing the rocker.i also called the dealer in case it might of been a defect in the rocker they said i had to wait till after new years so a factory rep could look at it.i contacted a few body shops and was told about $1,000 to replace rocker.we will see what happens.trying to be as nice as posssible at first hopefully it will not go in a different direction.strange thing is it happened to the pass side which is hardly used, driver side is fine.after all is said and done i am a little skeptical about putting these back on which is a shame because they looked awesome.mainly wanted to post to let others know they might want to keep an eye on their steps

In my opinion the riv nuts were not installed correctly or the brackets are of poor design, if the riv nuts are not pulled tight and mushroomed correctly they will allow movement and eventually break the metal around the hole and pull out of the rocker. I just installed a factory set and it takes 15 ft lbs to collapse the nut properly, first I did it using a ratchet then I checked it with a torque wrench, I was surprised at how many more turns it took to get to 15 ft lbs. I wish I had pictures of factory brackets, they are much more substantial and have a tab that fits into the square hole above where the riv nuts go for added support.

the rivnuts were installed and torqued to the specs listed in the instructions from deezee but in my opinion the rivnuts did not expand adequately.deezee said they are looking in to it and i should hear back in a few days

Sorry did not mean to imply you did anything wrong, instructions are not always correct and sometimes fasteners supplied are not sufficient for the task at hand. Anyway hope you can get it sorted out with the least amount of cost to you.
