I've never been quite happy... Opinions PLEASE
The lift will not help you with the shoter bed look. I know been there with the Chevy half ton crew before. The 2500 6.7 is the only way to go. It is just stout. I know it is money but man what a truck if you can swing it. I am definitely looking at getting the 2500 6.7. The power wagon is a great look but it is a harsher ride and think they only offer it with a hemi but not sure. I am going with a laramie 2500 and putting a lift under it to take on some 35 or 37 in tires. I might keep it stock with a small lift and 35 in tires but I will have to see.
So I went all over the place today and RAM's are def the way to go. All the other trucks out there are UGLY. The 2500's are great but I think between negative equity and the fact that I'm really only going for a longer bed; I'll just have to get over it or win the lottery. Thanks for your input guys and I can attest to the fact that that these trucks are beauties!
+1 on how good they look! If I were getting a 2500, I would prefer a diesel, BUT the 6.7 has been a nightmare for a lot of people and the gas mileage sucks. Before I bought my 09 1500 I was looking to buy an '06 or '07 (some in 07 were 6.7's, some 5.9's) 5.9L cummins. That diesel motor is legendary and doesn't have all the emissions junk that is causing all the issues with the 6.7s.
