do you let your truck warm up in cold weather before you drive it? I'm talking like 10 or below. The reason why I ask this is because the sales guy who sold me my truck told me I HAVE to let it warm up for 20 minutes before I drive it. I just think its a waste of gas to let it sit for 20 minutes. I think this guy was talking out his a**.
I usually wait at least until the idle comes down, to about 700 or so... The amount of time this take varies by how cold it is, if it is really cold (like -35 C) this will of course take longer....
thats it for me till the idle comes down takes like a minute or less, away we go, my wife starts it in the house and sometime has to restart it cuz she runs out of time.

I second this i allways let mine idle down before I drive no matter what the TEMP is.

+1 - Im gone as soon as I hear the idle shift down (assuming I'm not in a rush). I'll also add Zmax oil treament to help lubricate the engine. It might be BS but I feel better about taking off when she's cold when its in there.
Take this with a grain of salt, because like all firefighters, we tend do be insanely OCD about certain things! Even here in TX, where cold to us is 30, I still let the Hemi warm up for about 10 to 15 minutes before I put her in gear. Wasteful? I'm sure, but I treat her like I treat my old bones and warm them up before going to work!
