I know internet forums bring out more complaints than praise but damn, I like this truck. I have not had any of the problems listed and think I am going to stop reading all the complaints for fear of creating the issue myself.

anyhow if you like your truck chime in! Every vehicle has something to complain about even in infallible japanese (rusting frame anyone)....

i get in this truck and it drives like a sporty car, maybe not a new porsche but I would put it up against the Iroz C of the mid nineties I use to think was so fast.

dodge raised the bar in many ways lets not forget that. I pulled a 5k trailer and 5 people to and from the beach in total comfort, when I hit bumps the truck does not jump to the side, when I step on the gas it sounds good and takes off, the seats and steering wheel are heated-even the kids get warm butts......it also has by FAR the BEST styling out there.

 

i have been a die hard GMC guy for the last 8 years, a new GMC pickup every two years, and now i have bought a dodge. i never cared for the looks of them in the past but there are enough differences in the 4th gens that i broke down and bought one.. mainly i bought the dodge over the gmc because of the warranty but it's really growing on me. i haven't had any of the problems others are talking about either. well, i have to go to the dealer tomorrow to get my key fixed. for some reason when i put it in the ignition my evic reads "damaged key" and it's the spare key that doesn't get used so i don't know how it would have got damaged...? anyway, i'm with you. i think it's a great truck.

 

I'm with you, absolutely awesome truck! The only issue I have had is with the POS Goodyear tires that came with it. I'll be swapping those out soon & its not Dodge's fault the tires suck. The truck is otherwise perfection in every way in my opinion. I love it. My friends like it & regret not being able to buy one right now. I get nothing but compliments on the truck, especially since so few are on the road in my area as of yet. Dodge truly raised the bar on this one!

 

These trucks are great I had a 03,06 now an 09 the others were ok but this truck is way beyond great I love everything about it.I haven't went a day that someone hasn't commented on how good the truck looks.

 

Agree, this was the best auto purchase I have made yet. I really love this truck. Looked at an 09 F-150 with less options for 10k more and even my dodge was the same price it would have still been worth it. Very happy with this truck. I get compliments on it all the time.

 

this is what I am talking about! I love the internet ofr info but DAMN it is easy to get sucked into complaints......I bought a gun recently and while waiting for it read how many problems people have with it, I felt like I had the same problems and had not even shot it yet.....turns out the gun was perfect never a mis fire or any issue, so far the same with the truck.

my buddy is a service manager at a chevy store, he tried to sell me on the silverado. I always hear they "drive like a cadillac".....sorry but then the dodge drivers like a rolls royce because if you drive them back to back the dodge is superior in every way.

anyhow glad to hear the good stuff. i have said it before but we had 3 new mercedes from 06-08 and when I sit in this dodge I can see what dodge learned from mercedes.

 

I have owned Dodge's all my life and will say that there was a time before Lee Iacoca that I seriously thought about never driving a Dodge again. I love my 09 Ram. I don't have any complaints except that I would have really loved 650hp and 35mpg, but hey we can't get everything we want, oh yeah, I also wanted it to run off air as well. Anyway, the truck is awesome and I haven't seen any of the problems that others have. I haven't had any problems with this truck, it's always been a pleasure to drive and always seems to run great. Now if the city would just get my damn street finished so it could look as good as it runs! Jeff.

 

My 09 , bought in late Febuary , 42, 000 now .... I drive the **** out of it. Took in for recalls only... Did have a front end alinment done . New set of rubbers on her now.
If I can stop people from hitting my truck in parking lots...

 

I had an 06 4x2 ram, really liked the truck but wanted a 4x4. At first I wasn't sure about the new truck, then I drove one. This is a fantastic truck that so far has been trouble free for me. My only little annoyance about it is the candles they call headlights, a relatively easy fix though.

 

I have driven all of the other trucks (Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Nissan Titan) quite a bit and the 09 1500 is way better. The only thing better on the others is a Chevy gets better fuel mileage. Well, one other thing, a Tundra tailgate folds down nice and slow when you let go of it... or you can just let it down slow on your own.

The 09 is a lot better on the inside than an 06-08 ram. The base model ST is better inside and more comfortable than a comparable TRD Tundra.... and mine was 10k less. I can see myself still being happy with this truck 10 years from now... I'd say it was a good choice.
