I did check with a cop friend of mine and he told me that only the state patrol give a **** about the underbody lights, and I did not find anything for them being illegal. I do know that I CAN'T use blue. Plus a guy I work with has them on his new truck and he did get stopped. The cop never said anything to him, just that he can't run blue. Plus the lights that I wan't to hook to my mirrors are white, and will only light up when the door opens or is locked with the remote. I do have a question for you though BULLRAM. With how your talking about how I should wire these lights, I want to get this right. Your saying that I should splice into the wire that goes to the mirrors, then run that wire to the inside of my truck and plug it into a relay. Then run another wire from a constant power source like the battery also to the relay. Then run a wire from the relay to the lights. Is that correct? I do want to make sure that I do this right and make it last.

I can't for the life of me understand how the color or location of underbody lights interferes with the safety of the driving public.
