Heater blower noisy
Mine was doing the same thing and I went to the dealer twice and even made them compare to other trucks they have replaced the blower motor and still the same drives me crazy! I read on another forum that someone else had the same issue and never really noticed it till they added slush mats which seems to reflect the sound I also have OEM slush mats and after thinking about it I started to really notice it around the time I put those mats in. I am going to try and make some foam or carpeted panel to cover the motor or was thinking about Dynamat.
I had a few minutes to take a look at it today, part of the noise is the blower motor vent leaking air, making a hissing sound. I took the motor out and made a foam gasket to seal that off better (self explanatory when you take the motor out). That took the annoyance out about 25%, the rest is in the dash and the motor bearings/brushes. I could have swore there was some foam soundproofing around the motor, may have been anther truck I was ling at.
A plastic/foam hush panel under the dash like most cars have would make it a lot quieter. The blower motor is plastic and where its mounted it just really seems to be loud on the lower speeds, more then any other car/suv/pickup I owned recently,

I listened to 5 other trucks and they all do the same thing, it just bothers some and not others I suppose. Bothers the heck out of me but I cant imagine the dealer doing anything about it except replacing the motor.
I've been unhappy with my 2010 dodge ram 2500 since day 1 and hope chrysler goes under as a result of their "cutting corners". When I pay $52k for a vehicle, I expect a $52k vehicle, not a $30k vehicle, with the other $22k going to the UAW!!!
