Chrysler leaves me stranded to freeze to death in a blizard
People are being wayyyy too harsh on ya. I would have called dodge if my tire popped 48 hours after owning it. I especially would have called during blizzard conditions cause my *** wouldnt be laying on that frozen ground for a faulty tire. If dodge did not wanna back their service then they shouldnt of offered it in the first place. But like ya said **it happens.
Personally I think everyone is being harsh on you, though I probably would have tried to change the tire myself before I called anyone. Also, always keep the manual in the car. If you want to read the manual at home, download a copy. That's what I did for our BMW M5. It has SO many complicated little things on it it's not even funny. I know more about that car than pretty much every BMW service advisor I've talked to, yet I still learn something new about it all the time.
So I would definitely ride Chrysler about the damage to your truck - get that fix. Nothing excuses having a brand new truck get damaged (by an incompetent) tow truck guy. You know that he'll most likely be paying for it (or will lose business because they wont use him again), so don't feel too bad for Chrysler. Plus, they did what they could, so nothing bad against them...
Except for the lights. If you ordered (and paid) for Quad headlights, you should get them. Ride them and ride them hard to get them. It's complete bull if they tell you it isn't possible.
Sorry about the trouble, I'm glad you like the truck, I definitely like ours. Most amazing large vehicle I've ever driven. I thought our 2002 Ram was great, but this one blew it out of the water.

You wrench on cool stuff like air boats and half tracks, I worked on rusted junk heaps. lol Hmmm home remodeling, the joys of jack hammering a 1950's cement tile floor and fitting drywall to a room without a single square corner, yet another tool belt I hung up after 2 major home remodels.

yeah I just tore out my master last year, widened the shower pan another 18 inches sunken by 4 and moved to toilet the same redid the walls, plumbing and electrical, not ready to do it again, but now looking at a whole kitchen tear out, the so called honey do list, way long especially when your a fire captain with 2 days off b/n 24 hour workshifts. problem is I don't get much sleep at work with 14 to 18 call days (3 to 4 after midnite).

I was harsh, I agree chrysler road side and the tow truck driver were numnuts, how ever your in driving in a blizard, you get a flat and your ill prepared to handel the situation your self, in the end you took care of what you had to do when the experts and service you expected failed you, I agree that no one adressed your needs to your expectations.
I would also say that in the real world, people have to expect thier car or truck is going to break down, new or old, flat tires, mecanical break downs on the highway or in the middle of hells half acer things break.
Being cold and straneded is no fun, I have had to change a tire with the rim frozen on the hub in -40c, or wiat three hours for the AMA to find me, I had a full tank of flue, cell phone, extra gloves, flash light, water and cover als.
My advice to you is throw away that factery jack, carry 4x4 blocks and get a 3 ton botle jack or a trolly jack, expireance is a wise teacher.

I don't know for sure but the factory jack does lift by the lip off sheet metal but in certain spots only. Don't quote me on this and also the instructions are usually with the jack. Anyway, if you can't change a flat tire you should not be driving in a blizzard because the tow trucks and actually people who know what they are doing the ones that are normally used in normal conditions are busy doing real jobs like pulling car out from under transports and things like that. Now the tire...not Chryslers fault, how do you know you didn't runover something in a blizzard? The idiot that came to help that is Chryslers fault if they are going to provide the service then they should have reputable companies. Around here seems pretty good but I am surprised they won't tow you from an accident even if it is going to their body shop. So I carry CAA for when I am driving my 72 Chev and my daughter has a card from my policy cheaper. We have used them a few times.
Learn how to check all your fluids, change the tire,how to change a serpentine belt, I can change a flat from a wheel chair just can't get it out from under the truck, I can lower it but can't get under there to get it. These tires and rims are friggin heavy, it is not pretty but if I have to I can. But I don't go out by myself in a Blizzard.

You can get a nice light aluminum trolly jack, not sure if it will fit under the seat. Another cool item would be a cordless impact gun as long as it can get bolts off that at at 100 ft lbs. at least I think that is the torque..again don't quote me I have 3 vehicles I know the Avenger has aluminum wheels at does the ram and it takes 100 ftlbs. so.
Some of you guys, I swear if your engine blew out in the middle of knowhere you'd have a crate motor in the back just in case and R&R it yourself roadside.
The tire is not Chrysler's fault because....you came over last night and personally inspected the tire to make this determination?
Have you taken the tire in or inspected it to see what did cause the flat?
