yeah r3ight! you were in your srt10...... lol. you must have the 3.92 gears? we have same truck but i have quad with 3.55's mine wont do any of that with the esp partiall off in 2wd unless its wet.....

 

LOL, the SRT does not squeel, it burns. It comes home the 2nd weekend of April, took hibernation in your state!! It will be about that time that I think to myself the Hemi is slow again. Yes, 3.92.

 

im torn.i wish i could have had the 3.92 sometimes, for 'coolness' but i dont ever tow anything, and am a lot of highway driving so the 3.55 suits me well i guess..


oh, anyway, i cant wait to get the cortex.

so just to double check. ANY 3950 will work with the 09's once its updated?

 

Correct, if it is a Cortex 3950 it will work once updated.

If it is a Flashpaq then you need a 3865, and like the Cortex, will need updated.

 

yeah, i'm new to this stuff but i can't seem to get it to roast from a standstill...it takes off in a hurry but doesn't seem to want to spin. anyone else ever have this problem?

what about the cortex v. 3865 - which one and why? I don't need anything detailed....if its good enough for you guys it'll work for me....any opinion welcome. and if someone does reply, let me know about setting it up...ie. any preferences for someone just looking for performance and pickup/power - no other reason for buying. thanks.

 

well, most people are spending a little extra for the cortex 3950 purely for the 2yr warranty. thats the basic differance.

if you have a 4x4 quad cab with the 3.55 gears and 20" rims you will not spin the tires from a stop with the esp in off position.....(stock)

 

Curious.... Did anyone here switch from a Bully Dog to the Superchips? I currently have a Bully Dog, have not been real happy with the results as of yet. They have been helpful, but I just don't think they have the driving time on an 09+ truck. If you have run both let me know.. Trying to justify selling the BD and buying the SC...

 

I do have a quad cab...4x4....w/20's....how did that guy post the youtube clip roasting the tires from a 20mph start? Does he have a different gear ratio or 17s/18s? Any idea how to rectify this situation?

I'm in Canada and deciding between the 3865 and the cortex....and am unclear as to what the advantage is for the cortex 2 year powertrain warranty....does it go above my vehicles own powertrain warranty somehow? My truck is a 2009 w/8K KM's on it.
