Will I be able to raise the WOT shift point from 3rd-4th on the new tune?

Has anyone asked the question, "what type of gain if at all can we expect from 87 and or 89 octane?"
With 2kids, mortgage,, ill stop there, we all can't just buy 91 octane every fill-up..

Thanks in advance...

These two features dramatically change the ride of your truck.

Oh, those sound nice.... Can not wait for those updates!

My tuner is at work. I decided to take the day off, but called and it is there. I may drive in later in the day and get it.

Why did I burn a vacation day? My truck is detailed and the roads were wet Now that is ****!

Got my tuner today. Updated, hooked to the truck.... No further update requried! SC is obviously getting lots of data from y'all.

The only issue I had with my install was a old user ID I could not get into, just gave up and made a new one.

Limped to the gas station, put in 24 gallons of 93 (loaded 93 tune).

Shifts are great (at low and heavy acceleration), which of course gains performance right there, it does feels quicker. I then did two 0-60 runs with the tuner timing the runs. First was a 6.22 with a bad launch and the other 6.11 with a better launch but a little room from improvement. It was cloudy and 50 outside. I have to put my factory tune back in this week as my truck will be going in for RRTs and my mirror lights. I might try a 0-60 on the stock tune, that is if the device will track the times with the factory tune being re-loaded into the truck.

I will also do another run or two after my K&N CAI shows up.

I expect consistent sub 6 with slightly warmer conditions and the CAI. Keeping in mind I have a RC 4x4 with 3.92s.

I have the exact same RCSB 5.7L 4x4 with 3.92's as you do except it’s mineral grey which has been scientifically proven to be the fastest color I bought the superchips programmer 2 days ago and am running the 93 tune with 91 gas (that’s the highest they sell here). Anyway it runs flawlessly with 91 and the difference from stock is more than noticeable! I have yet to try any of the tweaks, just running the canned 93 tune. With a K&N drop in my best "unofficial" 0 to 60 time is 6.75 seconds whereas I could not break 7 seconds stock. I realize these aren’t unimpressive times at sea level but I am at 7000ft here. I also have a long ways to go to get a good launch every time. Off the line it still feels held back as I am sure you will agree.

I would really like to see a diff here, if you could, do a run right before and after the install. I am thinking these CAI's, especially the closed air box Volant and S&B, do nothing for our trucks. The tune already sets a good base for air/fuel mix using the stock airbox and no one sells a CAI and tune combo but would like to be wrong here - every little bit helps with these bolt-on performance mods and these open intakes may actually net a gain.

I have the same question as JohnVI. What kind of gains can we expect from the 87 or 89 octane tune. Heck what tunes are even available 87, 89, 91, and 93? I tend to put a lot of miles on my truck and it gets put to use towing and hauling stuff. I would like to purchase a tuner prior to the 31st but unsure of how it will work while towing roughly 3000 pounds over 1800 miles. Time to haul the last of my stuff to Texas and start a new career, what ever that might be. Going to be a little bit of a shock after 23 years of the military.

Yes, that 7K is killing you. Mods that would affect performance on my truck during the run.....

SC 93 tune
Mufflex 14
Drop in K&N
40 pounds off my gut since Jan 4th.

Items hurting.... Nerf bars. Added about 65 pounds.

I may put my stock filter back in and get another base line for the CAI.

What part of Texas are you moving to?
