2009 Ram Hemi Superchips Tuning Released
Obviously I'm not very happy right now. I wasted 3 hours of driving time and 4 hours at the track running a tune that they are now telling me wasn't ready.
Good for him. Like I said, I set it up based on a recommendation from Ron @ SC.
If you actually read my entire post, you'd see I set it back to the "quick" tune settings, which has shift points more like where you are talking. It still shifted bad, and still wasn't as quick as when I ran it stock the run before, and the stock run was also in a much worse DA(The sun dropped and temps went down by 10* for the last tuned run).
We are trying to figure out what happened, Ron said the time line shows that I updated the program at 1:30 and the file wasn't ready until 2:24. That makes NO sense, because I didn't get the email until 2:09, and I downloaded it after that. Like I told him, I had already waited over a week for it, why would I jump the gun by a hour?

I would read the thread in it's entirety. Most folks are enjoying the 2009 tuning. We're dealing with computers and many different revisions of PCMs.
There can be hiccups in some cases. If there is, Superchips will do everything they can to resolve an issue you might experience. If they can't, they'll gladly take the tuner back.

[quote=BULLRAM;2091187]To me personally, I like that I can reach the people that made this thing in the event that ,I dont know how to upload, whatever,
I like that it was not way different in price, but actually cheaper than the rest,
that they will have a Torque manegement download soon,
Ease of installation,I have changed my tunes probably 10 times already, DONT LAUGH,
I like I can run 89 octane, and have all the features unlocked, like top speed ,shifting, tire size, and still pick my stations to get gas, when the price props more it will be back to the 91/93 tune
COMPLETLY DIFFERENT ANIMAL, when it shifts, after running it now on trips, I couldnt remember what it used to shift like, so I put it back stock.........VERY BAD...'it drooped before a shift even when going slow ,almost felt like it was dipping the front, now it shifts like I think it should, crisp, and like right now, get one now and the TM download will be free, for at least 72 hours when it is available, you will be ready for it instead of scrambling for one.
So do you think the crisper shifting is better for the tranny life or do you just like how fast it shifts?

Crisper shifitng has always been better ,even back in the 70's when I used to install tons of shift kits, we just wanted to hear 2nd gear chirps, but the good side is less slippage, the factory puts in a delayed shift that doesnt feel like it is slipping, just not the shift at the right time, that protects the transmission to them, a quicker more solid shift will make the transmission last longer ,but a lot of people do not like a hard shift,I personally dont mind, but I have built transmissions as per there requests that I thought were TOO hard, and the customer LOVED it .
The new expanded options, that will release soon, will allow you to remove more. Those options will be free to Hemi folks for 3 days with a coupon. There will be a nominal fee thereafter to upgrade.
