2009 Ram Hemi Superchips Tuning Released
Could someone, other than Beta testers, with the Superchips please post some before and after 0-60mph numbers. I see a lot of people are buying these but no one is posting any numbers. Are the gains not that impressive? I'm just curious, but slowly becoming suspicious, or maybe just too impatient. Thanks
My best 0-60 was 7.41s
1/8 mile: 10.49 @72mph
This was using the 91octane tune and flooring it from rest, no power braking, and no wheel spin.
Honestly, I can't feel that much of a difference in performance, but I'm mainly hoping it can help my mpg. I'm only getting low 9's right now city driving.
The truck is Crew Cab, 2wd, 20's and 3.21's. Half a tank of gas, and probably 150 extra lbs of cargo on board. So, basically the worst spec combo for performance. I do love this truck but sometimes I miss my '08 Titan. That thing felt much quicker and got nearly 14mpg under the same driving conditions.
wow!!! That seems weird to me ,I get WAY over 20 mpg on the highway, and NEVER under 16/17 in the city stop and go, in my CC ,I have the 20's and 3:21, here is my times from the superchips, this was my first run with no praactice.......the times have gotte a LOT better, now that I can take off in that dude....
not perfect track times but respectable with the 3:21's and my first attempt, on the 87 tune

And, I live in Kansas with NO hills or gradients to speak of and I drive extremely gently.
Well anything can happen but i just dont see that major of a change, there are a number of us getting that, I dont really watch my mileage in town, mostly highway,is when i watch it, but I know if you hear your tire spin AT ALL, when doing that run you will see slower times, i am getting the reaction time down, and getting a feeling for what the truck likes, mine has to be almost dead idle,to not spin a lot, if I power brake it , my times will drop, and the 60 foot mark is off, i know the track times are not perfect on these ,but they are very close, i took mine here at the strip, and ran high 14's all day, once i stopped sleeping at the tree..LOL
My truck ran like **** tonight. The damn thing wouldn't shift. I used the shift points/ rev limiter that was suggested in a thread on the SC forum by a SC guy (6100 1-2, 6200 2-3, and 6400 limiter...except 2-3 was actually 6150 because that's as high as it would go). The delays on the shifts were terrible.
First 2 runs were both 14.4s. I went into the tune and lowered the 2-3 shift points and then it went 14.7. The mphs were all over the place because the shifts were completely inconsistent.
So I took the tune off completely, and ran a 14.20 @ 96.
I wanted to get another stock run in, and then try the "quick tune," but a car wrecked and we were held to one more run. I put the quick tune on, and due to the delay the sun had gone down and the temps dropped to 55, so the conditions were close to ideal. 14.26 @ 92. The thing just wouldn't shift at the top end of the track.
Basically the WOT shifting is terrible. Around town it seems like fun, but it doesn't 60' any better and getting into the next gear sucks.
For what it's worth, this truck ran 13.7 to 13.9 bone stock all day the last time I had it out.

To me personally, I like that I can reach the people that made this thing in the event that ,I dont know how to upload, whatever,
I like that it was not way different in price, but actually cheaper than the rest,
that they will have a Torque manegement download soon,
Ease of installation,I have changed my tunes probably 10 times already, DONT LAUGH,
I like I can run 89 octane, and have all the features unlocked, like top speed ,shifting, tire size, and still pick my stations to get gas, when the price props more it will be back to the 91/93 tune
COMPLETLY DIFFERENT ANIMAL, when it shifts, after running it now on trips, I couldnt remember what it used to shift like, so I put it back stock.........VERY BAD...'it drooped before a shift even when going slow ,almost felt like it was dipping the front, now it shifts like I think it should, crisp, and like right now, get one now and the TM download will be free, for at least 72 hours when it is available, you will be ready for it instead of scrambling for one.
The data aquisition is a cool feature, also the quarter mile times and speeds
I hate to sound like a worn out record, but BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK
