I've got the before numbers. My two best runs last fall were 13.75 @ 99.8 and 13.77 @ 98. I was consistently in the 13.7-13.9 range. The DA was pretty much 0, the corrected times were just hundredths lower. The weather should be decent tomorrow, the track is actually a better one than where I was at. Maybe I'll do a couple stock runs, but I'll pry just leave the tune in and try to tweak it.

I did the quick tune, and seat of the pants was just slightly noticeable. I mean, it feels quick, but it felt quick before lol. TM is still strong. I stomped it from a dig and it was a small controlled spin and hooked. I went through and adjusted the rev limiter and shift points, I'll take it for another run in a bit.

At the track, the shift points is gonna be huge. It was shifting towards the end of the run before, and that alone pry cost a tenth or so...

ok, quick question. how bad is it to have the 93 oct. tune installed, and run a half tank of 89oct at normal driving speeds, no full throttle runs etc.?

dont ask me how it got 89 in it. im not one to name names,, but it was my wife!!! lol. i just like the way its working right now and dont want to mess with retuning it for a hundred miles of driving or so...

If you drive it nice and gentle, you should be fine. I don't know the details of the Superchips tunes, but I'm assuming they don't mess with advancing timing or air/fuel ratios or whatever until you're really stepping on it.

Then again, I'm no pro and those are just my assumptions and you know what happens when you assume.....

If it bothers you just pickup a can of octane boost, dump it in and top it off with 93.

Could someone, other than Beta testers, with the Superchips please post some before and after 0-60mph numbers. I see a lot of people are buying these but no one is posting any numbers. Are the gains not that impressive? I'm just curious, but slowly becoming suspicious, or maybe just too impatient. Thanks

My truck ran like **** tonight. The damn thing wouldn't shift. I used the shift points/ rev limiter that was suggested in a thread on the SC forum by a SC guy (6100 1-2, 6200 2-3, and 6400 limiter...except 2-3 was actually 6150 because that's as high as it would go). The delays on the shifts were terrible.

First 2 runs were both 14.4s. I went into the tune and lowered the 2-3 shift points and then it went 14.7. The mphs were all over the place because the shifts were completely inconsistent.

So I took the tune off completely, and ran a 14.20 @ 96.

I wanted to get another stock run in, and then try the "quick tune," but a car wrecked and we were held to one more run. I put the quick tune on, and due to the delay the sun had gone down and the temps dropped to 55, so the conditions were close to ideal. 14.26 @ 92. The thing just wouldn't shift at the top end of the track.

Basically the WOT shifting is terrible. Around town it seems like fun, but it doesn't 60' any better and getting into the next gear sucks.

For what it's worth, this truck ran 13.7 to 13.9 bone stock all day the last time I had it out.
