ok guys i have never owned a programmer. i getting mine tomorrow. can anyone help me out by telling me when to start and what i should set the setting to. i have read alot of this forum and there r alot of different opinions so can someone give me a good idea where to start for speed
This just my opinion of what I did, after you get it , set the tune to what ever you want, 87/91/91, I run 91, and put in 92/93, its up to you, then put it on advance tune, change all your values, meaning, change the top speed limiter to MAX, then makes sure your gear ratio is right, and make sure your tire size is correct, 20's on mine default to the wrong size, its close but put it right, set your RPM's to 5950, for 1/2 shift, then 5950 for 2/3 shift,
set the RPM limit to 6400 ,
then go to T/M and put it on Superchips, it will be on stock, change the shifts to Superchips, save and EXIT, let it tune it ,it will take a little while, no lights on ,no A/C no nothing, just get out of it, turn off the inside light, get out and come back, put it in the cup holder, it fits there good, when it is done it will tell you to turn the key off ,then on, you are done,
what i just told you will (not) WRING every last HP,and shift, out of it, but you wont believe the difference, it is a decent place to start, then after you are comfortable with it, tune that dude ............

What part of Houston do you live in?
Sil,
Do you have or know where I can get the SC shift shedule? I have one of the previous schedules on my truck, but to be honest it is to aggressive. As a DD most of my driving is "easy", but even when being "easy" on the truck it still goes to around 3.5K on the 1-2 shift, as a result I want to make my own. This thing is if I have the SC scheudule it will save me a lot of time. The SC schedule is certainly not an issue as I have ran it before. So what I want to do is take the one I have now, compare to SC and come up with a happy middle place.... Of course once I find one that is improved over the SC but still gives good DD driveability I will be sharing!

I threw this starter schedule together for Rizam and it's the least aggressive of the three schedules on the server:

If I have the time, I'll work on something even less aggressive. Just keep in mind that this is totally an end user controlled product.

War Horse, the one I posted is exactly what I ran BEFORE the T/M tune, it shifted great for me, try setting all what mine was on, there are a lot of us running that set up, not hard on the drive train, or engine, but strong enough to feel it.
Hey Sil, from the two original ones posted, what one is the more aggressive, 1 or 2 ?
One thing I'm reading on the forums, folks are generally not liking it overly aggressive. You may have to make changes as you go along.
The more space between the corresponding up and down shifts, the less aggressive the schedule will be.
