It depends on the date your truck was built, the early built 09's don't have the light, mostly trucks built in 08. Go look at the sticker on your drivers side door...when was the truck built?

I do have the light, but I can feel it and hear it a little when it goes into MDS.

MDS - you'll likely be able to tell (once you get a real feel for your truck)...

On a decent long straight flat or slight descent, keep your foot lightly on the gas to maintain speed. Sometimes you'll feel / see a slight change in RPM as MDS tightens the Torque Converter as it kicks in. If you try to SLOWLY / GENTLY accellerate, you'll feel like the Hemi has "disappeared" (been replaced by 4-cyl engine) - which it has been. And if you have the window down, you'll hear the difference in exhaust note - your smooth running V8 has just developed a WHOPPING miss and will sound like some "old beater truck". Press the gas a little more, and all of this is replaced by the Hemi V8 sound and feel that you'll come to know and love.
(Of course, being there in Upstate NY, it'll be a few more months before you get to experience this... Windows Down and all...)

I've had mine over a year with 30k miles.....I still can't tell when mds is on. Everyone says with a louder exhaust its easy to tell.

I have 50% hearing loss and I can tell with stock single exhaust.

There is a flash for MDS drivability issues. I had mine flashed and it's somewhat better but I can still tell. Whenever I break down and buy a Superchips I'll turn MDS off and be done with it.

I heard somewhere there is a way to tie into the MDS circuit with an LED to let you know when it is on.

Anyone heard of this?
