Worst Truck Ever
09 RAM Laramie 4x4 hemi, just turned 1 year old, 17000 miles. The only problems I had was, front bumper not mounted level...dealer fixed. OAT reading high, dealer fixed (took 2 tries). The leather dash had a scuff near the A pilliar passagener side...you can't see it unless the sun hits it just right and your in the drivers seat looking across. I choose not to get fixed, I did not want the dealer tearing into the dash...it does not bother me a bit. Only other compliant...the passanger set belt rattles against the pillar when no one is in the seat using the seatbelt...it has to do with the way the seatbelt is taken off and slides up the seat and hits the pillar. If it really bugs me, i just reach over and adjust it. I don't care for the MDS...i'd rather not have it and lose 1 mpg.
I came from driving fords for the last 20 years....fords were great (except a 93 ranger I had...junk)...they just did not have the power I needed for towing.
The RAM will tow circles around my 2002 f150 supercrew (260 hp).
Would I buy RAM again....YOU BETCHA!

man you got the truck that was built when rumors of layoffs were going around at the assembly plant.Ive had my truck since 04 brand new and she still impresses me.I dont have anything against ford or chevy,i just love my DODGE RAM.
Mine was built when they were going bankrupt, it was in the system when they shut down. I really want to love the truck but when you have problems with it and have to fight with Chrysler it really turns you against their brand.
I had to file Texas Lemon law on a motorcycle, Im sure its the same for trucks? With in 12,000 miles or 12 months... In the repair shop for same item 3 times and still not working?
Mine worked on the M/C was with Yamaha.
As far as the 09 crew cab, Rambox . Mine had 47,000 miles on this 22nd . 1 yr old ... No problems at all, ex- for recalls?
Good luck with yours ?

Your exactly right. I love the truck, love the styling and love the power. But when you get a rav4 and a freakin impala to drive for a month while it's in the shop and your paying top dollar and can't even tow your boat...it puts a mighty bad taste in your mouth. I filed the Lemon Law today. It's unfortunate and I hate that it happened to me, but I believe it was built when the layoff rash was on. I just wish chrysler would fess up and make it right instead of causing this headache. I'd like to say I'll be a repeat dodge ram owner, but I can't guarantee that. I've had two now and both failed on me.
thats awesome. i go through there all the time. sorry your having so many problems with your truck. i had the expierience of driving one and i absolutely loved it. big step up from a second gen. i didn't want to go back to my 5.9 after puttin my foot into the hemi.
No, I let the guy at the dealership drive it down the interstate and he said "I don't feel nothin"..his exact words. Funny how I wear boots and can feel it, yet he can't feel it in his penny loafers. But no, they have not addressed this situation at all. Every time I've taken it in for something I mention it, and they always come back with the same response "they don't feel it".
I worked at Chrysler Canada we had pride in what we built. Minivan, hated working there but it is a quality vehicle even the bvan where I worked. That plant rocked we even one JD power. Not long after we got ISO certified in under time and budget using mainly hourly employees, I was one of them(it was a great job) We were environmentally certified also. Then not long after they closed that plant and started making the ugly Sprinter why? We could have made that ugly pos where the b van was. But Mexico is cheaper labour and no rules to follow. I had a picture once it was a pipe coming from a car company..not sure which one but it travelled down the side of a hill quite a ways and at the bottom it was sludge going into a river, not a mile down the river people washing clothes bathing etc. It was taken by a plant worker that got to visit a Mexican plant.
