Exhaust recall?
Well picked up my truck from the dealer today after they fixed the brake switch which was mis aligned, they told me I gotta bring it back in when they get some exhaust bolt thing which are back-ordered for some new recall that is going to be issued. Has anyone heard of this, im just wondering if my dealer is trying to set me up since I have an aftermarket muffler.
its not really for the exhaust, its more toward the manifold. there are some screws or bolts that need replaced. the issue is a possible rattling from that area, so the fix is the new bolts. i was in friday and learned of it but they didnt have them in stock. i gotta go back to get it done once they get them in. not sure if its a recall though, more of an RRT
Was just at the dealer to have my Steps reinstalled because the rivet nuts pulled out and for RRT. One of them was for RRT10-009 it is for the issue mentioned it is to replace manifold bolds for cylinder 7 and 8 it was issued February 18 and the Parts are not even shipping till the 25th I ead the dealer letter and it is for a ticking sound heard from the engine in cold weather for trucks build prior to August 24, 2009 I believe. The funny thing is I have been complaining of this for 6 months and I have been told that it was normal sound for a HEMI. I have to say I like my truck but so far I have dealt with 2 different dealers and the service abbsolutly sucks and for that reason alone I will never buy another Chrysler product! You would think the manafacture and dealers that are hangging on by a thread would try to keep the customers they have but does not seem the case next truck is another Ford just because of terrible service!
I owned 3 F150's and now after owning my 09 Ram, I will never purchase another lethargic 5.4L F150. Had my share of service issues as well with two Ford dealers. Now after all the TSB's for the new 6.2L are worked out and it is available in a non-Raptor model, that could be another story !

I love my ram, but am beginning to hate payments (my own fault) i miss driving my 91' power ram... But, as of right now love my ram, and, they didn't have the parts, go figure... IT'S REALLY NOT A BIG DEAL... Ignore the issue, a fix is coming... it's not gurting anything...
