Default Esp bas

I recently had an ESP BAS light, as well as a traction control light displayed on my 2010 Dodge Ram for over a year. I tried trouble shooting the issue myself, but the problem would not show up on any diagnostic reports. It didn’t seem to cause any actual problems to my vehicle’s performance. Many friends that were mechanics said that the sensor was probably just bad. I did a little more research and finally brought it into the Dodge Dealership. After a few days, they finally determined the source of the problem was a CLOCK SPRING INTERNAL FAILURE, an issue behind the steering wheel that needed replacement. This was causing electrical problems that was affecting my brakes, air bags, traction control and any other electrical connection that passed through this source. It was an expensive fix, but it is the first time in years I have had zero lights on my truck. I only have 86,000 miles on the truck and I want it to last for at least double to triple that. Hope this helps someone out.
