Cold Air Intake?
I installed my K&N Aircharger last weekend. I'll post the before and after video if anyone is interested. I'm actually going to take another clip as it seems that the sound is different after a week. It is amazingly loud when you get on it. It sounds really nice at half to 3/4 throttle, but a little bit of honk at full throttle. I'm thinking of going with a cat back exhaust to drown that out. I'll look here for recommendations, but I'm leaning toward magnaflow. As for Power, it does feel a tiny bit more responsive. Too soon to tell about any fuel savings.
The Cortech is due in tomorrow so that should make a little more difference.
At the moment the 4.10 ring and pinion is back ordered, but I expect that will make the most difference.

Was wondering if you were happy overall with your K&N CAI and if you were able to get your superchip calibration uploaded? Any problems with the CAI? When you say "Honking" is it annoying?
I've had two vehicles with K&N FIPK units. One was a 2000 S10 and it worked AWESOME on that truck. The second was my 08 Sport Trac Adrenalin AWD V8. It was HORRIBLE. It leaked constantly, it wasn't supported and it shook like crazy. It constantly tripped CELS because it was over lubricated via the factory and would plaster my MAFS causing banks to run lean. It was a total waste of money. It was such a heap of garbage that I left it on the truck when I traded it. I didn't want to take it off and sell it to someone else knowing what a heap it was. I included my stock airbox with my truck.
The K&N unit for the new RAM looks great. It's brace supported, it has an excellent heat shield and it's plastic. It's far less expensive than the other options out there.
I never had a problem with service or warranty work with my K&N and my dealership. And I mean "my dealership" because I work for a Lincoln Mercury dealership that recently switched to Kia. That probably played a factor. We also have a Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler dealership down the road. That is where I bought my new 2010 RAM Sport.
I would also agree with the above poster that stated the CAI and Exhaust mods to very very little without a tune. The tune alone is the best bang for the buck mod and it brings the other mods "out of their shell." I've run a CBE and a CAI without a tune and with a tune and with just a tune and no other mods. It is literally night and day difference running all three together.
I've also run CAIs on real performance vehicles like Subaru WRX and WRX STi's. I gotta say...on those vehicles...a CAI is a waste of money. Better to just drop in a filter and spend the money on a good turbo back or cat back system with a dyno tune.
I don't know what to do here. I know my dealership will take care of me if I have problems. I don't want issues like I had with the Ford and the K&N. I want a true CAI this time.
