Sorry, let me be clear. Street racing is dangerous, illegal and stupid. The fact that your wife gave you the okay does not make it safe or legal or smart. This is made even worse by the fact that the other party had no idea it was in a race.

I hope you grow up and stop bragging on the Internet about how moronic you are.

Any one who goes to the track knows that it is all about reaction times, you snooze you loose end of story! Yes this is another Ram vs Mustang thread, I can't help it that there are only a million of them cruising around my neck of the woods. FYI, I have an Magnaflow muffler and K&N drop in filter, it helps get the big guy off the line. Contrary to popular belief, the 3.21's are not that high of a gear. My truck is a little soft off the line but it just about hits 60 mph before shifting to 2nd and it has a hell of a sweet spot when you kick it down on the highway, but I would love to get some 3.92's or 4.10's with an LSD some day!! Anyway I just wanted to share the experience, like it or not it happened. The wife and me thought it was cool, especially the look on the dude's face!!

Dude you need to chill out, sorry I offended your delicate mangina! We tend to be a little rowdy in Texas so I'll try to keep my Hemi in my pants next time. Maybe I should remove my truck nuts and buy a Prius too! I know it is risky and dangerous, that's why I said I don't advocate street racing. I just wanted to share my experience with the other high performance enthusiasts on this web site. I personally worked several years at my local drag strip and have seen all kinds of stuff go bad really quick. But, if some jerk starts screwing around with me on the street and I feel it is safe, then I will bring it. For the third and last time the other party was racing every frickin light, not my problem that he fell asleep at the wheel! Have a nice day!!

W/o even getting into the absurdity of racing a 5000lbs truck down a public roadway, why do you let someone's bad driving habits influence yours into driving just as bad as him? And even if you did, why would you even come on a public form to 'brag' about it? Keep it to yourself. Your actions that day is nothing to be proud of.

You guys have your shorts too tight. What do you guys do for fun? Play Bingo on Friday nights? Thank God you don't live in Jersey I'am constantly running jackass's off the road. I think it was a great story, If he had said that he drove on the sidewalk to beat him then I would agree, gotta have a little youth left in you otherwise we might as well drive mopeds.

Ok I am not going to get into a debate about the ethics of an established American past time, but cut the BS. So you are telling all of us that it is absurd to drive our 5000lb trucks over the posted speed limit in public, but you own a bad *** 2003 QS Chev Corvette Z06:
Fully Forged LS7 427ci with ECS Novi 2000 : 812rwhp/720rwtq, that means you must be making 1000 hp at the crank, Holy ****! So where the heck do you drive your wicked fast super vette, Nuremberg or the Autobahn. One could argue that it is absurd to drive a 1000hp, 3000lbs vette on a public road. No disrespect (I love vettes), but I find it hard to believe you never drove your 1000hp vette over the speed limit, sounds to me like you have seen some serious triple digits on the road. Anyway, opinions are like butt holes, everyone has one. I'll keep mine and you keep yours, enjoy your vette, sounds like a bad *** ride.

racing and speeding are not the same thing. i am not sure where you get that illegal racing is an established past time like baseball and apple pie, but you can keep on dreaming.

maybe in your heart of hearts you really yearn for a lowered riced out civic. You strike me as a bright green kinda gal.

no they are not the same, other then there are two vehicles speeding! other then the fact there are two cars speeding instead of one, there is nothing the same!

I mean not like anyone has ever been killed by a single car speeding! or that a single car speeding is not illegal; only two speeding cars are illegal!
