Default MPG and Interior room question...

Good Day. I am trying to do some comparison work on the 2009 Ram versus 2010 to see which way I want to go. I have 2 questions that the dealership cant seem to answer confidently.
The first is that on the Dodge website the MPG on a 2009 Dodge Ram Crew Laramie 4x4 and the same vehicle in the 2010 model have different numbers.... the 2009 lists 15/20 and the 2010 lists 13/18. Anyone know why?

Also does the sunroof option take away some headroom in the front seat? I am pretty tall and I cant find one with a sunroof near me to try. I know some vehicles compensate for sunroofs that lower the headliner and some do not. Thanks in Advance.

On the MPGs, they are not correct, must be an error on the website. That looks like the ones for the 2wd truck. The 2010 actually should get a tiny bit better mileage than last year due to a few enhancements. But a 4x4 Crew will still not say 20 hwy mpgs. The 13/18 is probably what it will read.

So you are still seeing 2009 trucks on the lot? They have been gone from my area for quite some time. In fact, a lot of dealers here ran out when the bankruptcy was going on.

I've got a sunroof but don't know how much less room there is over one without.

My 2010 hemi 4x4 crew window sticker reads 13/18. I dont think any of the 4x4 2009s I looked at were any different.

I'm 6'4" and no headroom issues with the sunroof at all, plenty of room. I test drove a couple non-sunroof trucks and there didnt appear to be any headliner difference. I know what you are talking about because my old GMG lost about an inch with the sunroof, doesnt sound like much until you hair hits the headliner when you have the seat 'just right.'

I was going to get a sunroof, but I always heard Dodge had issues with them in the past, so I stayed away in my Laramie.

I just purchased a loaded 2010 laramie cc 4x4 less than two weeks ago. And from what I can tell those city 13 and hwy 18 figures are about spot on for my truck thus far. As for the sun roof it does take away some head room..although minimal. My boss is 6'7" and rides to lunch every day without bumping his grape on the cieling, and I do have the sun roof.

I have a sunroof and my brother has an 09 without a sunroof. There is a major difference in headroom IMO.

I'm 6'9" and 290, I have plenty of room and also have a sunroof and the center console shifter. My wife's truck with no sunroof is no problem for me either. The center console took me a little time to get used to, but I am glad I have it.

If I was 6'9" my head would be a couple of inches into the roof, of course everyone has their seats adjusted differently.
