Superchips or CAI?
go with superchips, more bang for your buck and a sure thing. you won't notice the power gain if any from a cai. my opinion is that the only cai that is worth the money and gains is the ram air hood, but that runs 1600 painted with a functional box. for 300 or so, you can get 18+ from superchips and is more for your buck with all the options it offers. cal speedo with tire change, rev limit, adjust shift change, turn mds off, gain hp/tq, soon will be trans tc to gain even more hp/tq etc... a cai only does one thing with minimal gains costing you up to 500. so obviously the best bet for your money is superchips and later add the cai to add to superchips tune.
also, i heard that when you put a cai on it feels good at first (hp/tq), but the comp wasn't designed to handle the extra air and will recalc and adjust accordingly and you'll be back to normal before you know it. you'll need a tuner to tell it to take the extra air and mix it with prop fuel. so, overall you really need a tuner before you start messing with the air/fuel ratio.

I was just going to say - you can pick up a tuner for about $300 and you should be able to get a CAI for that price as well.....
I am pretty happy with the sound with my Magnaflow....would rather performance. I guess the Superchip is the way to go.

The only thing that worries me about getting the Superchip is I would not have a clue on how to utilize the thing. I know there are tunes preset in them but I would want to play with it to try and get the most out of it. I am by no means any type of mechanic and would not know where to start!
There are a few "optimal" tunes posted up in the Superchips thread. The tuner comes with several canned tunes for various octane levels. That'd be enough to get you started, then you could tweak from there to see what you like once you've got the hang of things. As with anything, small tweaks are always better than multiple/drastic changes.
