Got a picture? You keep saying receiver and then saying that you are bolting through the bumper.

Sure bro. PM me your email if you want. Ill take pics tomorrow. By the time I get off work tonight it will be to dark. I had a friend come by and he said its fine. Its a basic reciever and hitch without a ball. Its just integrated into the bumper with the bumper just covering the hitch and not an actual part of the reciever. He tows his boat alot and said he dosent see why he wouldnt be able to tow his boat on it. But I will send you those pics for sure.

Interesting, sounds like they beefed up the bumper to actually haul something. Sounds like a nice chunk of metal under the bumper that the ball mounts too.....

I will have to look at mine, but I have the tow package reciever so may not have it? Either way, I need the adjustability in height for my boat and travel trailer. Plus I have two different sized *****.....

Thats what I was worried about too. But mines like 18 inches which is supposively perfect height. I dont know much about towing so im a huge noob. But I was told you should be for just general towing and that I can always change it on the trailer itself in case you ever need it. I also have 2 sized *****........

I don't own a single trailer where a ball on the bumper would be the right height. The boat, tow dolly and car trailer are all lower than that. And that is with a stock height 2wd.

Here are the pictures he sent. So basically it's just a tab on the frame that ties the ball on the bumper into the frame. Should be plenty strong, just somewhat useless unless your trailer has an adjustable tounge.

That's what I was thinking it would be. At least you won't be twisting your bumper pulling something but I have never had a trailer that would work that high up. My aluminum boat trailer a buddy towed like that, but he also ripped off the tail lights. LOL I would still toss on a reciever hitch to tow anything, get it sitting level!
