Default 2010 Front Bumper Rust

Im new here........so hello everyone. This is my 3rd Ram 1500 and love the truck, and Im sure the post has been posted, but has anyone had their front crome bumper start rusting yet? My dealer is going to replace it, but Im shocked at the rust spots already. It gets worse weekly.
Im looking for feedback, as my dealer says im the frist one they have had. I have had the truck since last october. Any other concerns so far, that i should look for?
I know I can do a post search.

I have 2 or 3 little rust spots that I was gonna have the dealer look at. It's NOTHING like yours. Wow, I'd be pissed. At least they are gonna replace it.

Did you not wash it all winter? Where do you live?

I wash it two times a week or more depending on the road conditions. I live in Ontario about 1/2 north of lake on Ontario. It still shouldnt be doing this when the truck is only 6 months old. But my dealer is coming good for it!

Washing it twice a week in a winter climate is much worse than just letting the crap accumulate. If you do wash it constantly in the winter you should apply some sort of protectant.

What would you suggest I use for a protectant? I figure keeping the road salt off as much as possible would be the best for it........ Im doing nothing different with this Truck than my 04 and 06 Ram 1500. I just think that this bumper didn't get a proper crome dip. JMO!!

For sure, there is something wrong with the bumper. As for what to use on it, just some regular old wheel protector/polish.

My truck has been through two winters of heavy salt conditions. I rarely ever wash it in the winter since I can't keep it clean so salt is caked on it for months. I have no rust spots, your bumper definately has a problem

That's part of the reason I buy white trucks - don't show the road chemicals as bad in the winter (I don't think they use regular salt in MN any more). Washed mine once this winter - right before installing the tow hooks, complete waste of time until April since its dirty again in 5 miles.

No rust on mine either.
