I always hate when you have to wait till Monday cuz u know there is nothing you can do til Monday . Like if it happened Monday and they said wait till Wednesday that would be easier to deal with cuz then if I had questions whatever I could bug them and it would get fixed quicker and they would use the right part because I would have told them to . I always get my salesman involved when there is an issue, it seems to help, kinda like if you want me to continue. Ileft a dealership because the guy I dealt with moved to BMW. Cant even afford the insurance on a BMW let alone buy one. Anyway I moved around bought a car out of town, then another further out of town seems the farther you go the better the deal.

Oh I want to ask I am sorry how is you daughter? You should have pushed the issue she got hurt and how dangerous that is and don't even mention insurance just assume its warranty. Like why would a window fly out and he said he saw it once before.....leave it at that but really play your daughter card. When then say you will have to call the insurance, then say ok and then my lawyer after to handle the part where we sue you for pain and suffering and whatever else you guys get in the US for your daughter and then casually say that warranty would help you to come to a better conclusion LOL then you go to jail for extortion!!!!
You are so lucky you can still sue without a cap like here in Canada. Well I don't mean lucky I mean if you need to you can, here they have protocols that are archaic and expensive. You have to go thru a mediator first and if he recommends you settle out of court and you decide to go to court the Judge sees that and well then they just make you feel like you are wasting the time of the Governor General.
What would that come under in insurance, comprehensive, would you have to have collision? Do your rates go up? I hate things like this it's always where the deductibles and fees and BS start happening you might as well just pay for it yourself if your rates will go up.

Here are the pictures. You can see some of the chips. There are chips like this all down the side of the truck. I brought the salesmen over to look at it this morning when I was at the dealership and he couldn't beleive it.

if that is truly the explanation they are going with, i hope they think to check the pressure release flap behind the rear seats. it should have prevented a pressurization issue if working properly.

So the Service Manager calls me this morning and tells me that they have ordered the glass and not to worry about anything. I told him are you sure? He says, yes you have been an excellent customer and we are going to take care of this. I mentioned the insurance thing and he told me that they cannot determine what exactly happened and they have seen this situation before. I was truely amazed, I expected them to tell me to call the insurance company and get them involved. So it looks like I have a good dealership that I am working with. The only thing that sucks is I won't get my truck back til March 27th because I am going out of town next week. Anyway if anyone lives in the Newport News Virginia Beach VA area and wants to buy a truck or needs a new service department go see Pomoco. I am truely amazed that they are doing this. One last note this is the third vehicle I have bought from this dealership in the past 2 years so that may have something to do with it.

Wow....you definitely have a great dealer. One you want to stick with. They are hard to find these days! I am glad your daughter didn't get seriously hurt. Pretty scarey stuff.

? Plz tell me about this pressure relief or release flap. I noticed in my truck, sometimes the cab is air tight and hard to shut the doors and sometimes not. Is it something to do with this? tks

There are some vents behind the seat that I think are what he is talking about. Personally I do not know if this was actually the problem with my window but the dealership is going with it even after I doubted it. Anyway I would not worry about it.

In MN glass coverage is 0 deductible, and my rates have never gone up for windshield replacements due to rock damage.

Yeah my insurance is the same way. My concern in the body damage on the side of the truck, my guess is there is about $1000 to $2000 in damage. They are going to have to paint the entire side of the truck from the rear door back.
