Rear Passenger's side Window BLEW OUT!
I've never done anything with mine.
I agree the dealer said he would eat it and if you can avoid your insurance for free, I say go for it. The dealer is doing what they are supposed to keep of maybe if he is not your regular guy then he is hoping for future business. Hey you will tell all of your friends about how they took care of you...even if he only gets one sale from you it snowballs. You have to keep us happy or we wont recommend in fact we will sh it mouth bad dealers.
oldjeep: The City still hasn't finished messing up your road ?? Do you suppose they'll let you run a Mud Bog when Spring warms up a bit ??
(Or do you think that they'll charge you a Permit Fee in order to get some enjoyment out of the mess they have made ??)

LOL - its all paved now, that picture is from early last summer. Only pic I had of the mud flaps and it illustrates pretty well where they protect.
So I am driving down the interstate last night at about 70mph when I heard a Big BOOM !I turned to look to the back seat to see that the rear window had blewn out and pieces where flying everywhere. My daughter was sitting by the window and it scared the crap out of her. Unfornunately she did get a cut on her face from it. Anyway I stop to buy some plastic because of course it is pouring out, and I seal up the window and continue on my trip. I went to the dealership this morning and they tell me that they have seen this happen one other time and it has to do with a temperature change. Anyway the truck is at the dealership getting a new window and the rear door and bed are getting a new coat of paint. (The glass went down the side of the door and put about a dozen good size nicks all down the side of the truck) What sucks is we where going to take the truck on it's first trip next weekend and it looks like it will still be at the dealership. Anyway I just wanted to share this story. I did take a couple of pictures that I will post later.
I have a 2013 Dodge ram 1500 about 8 weeks old with 3000km's when this happened, headed out for the long weekend camping. While driving on the highway no one near us anywhere, my front passenger window exploded out, most of the glass shards went outward thankfully. Scared the crap outta everyone in the truck, sounded like a 30 odd 6 went off in the cab. I was actually checking to see if someone had been shot. Stopped cleaned out the window and called the dealer. They wanted to know what I wanted to do , come back and fix it or make a later date. Told them i'd continue on my trip. Was told to bring it in on the following Tuesday to be repaired. Well its Tuesday, my truck sits at the dealer waiting for the glass to come in, yeah they just ordered it after looking at my truck.
On a side note, had the oem integrated trailor brake controller installed on the Thursday before we left. Seems the programming didn't take, as we left on the way back 600km journey there, 600 back. The traction warning came on, the service electric brake came on, the cruise control wouldn't work. dealer had to call the big guys to find out what the codes problems where and how to fix.
I have a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 and my rear passenger window blew out today (3/29/16). No one around me, sounded like a gunshot. Glass blew out and damaged the paint all down the passenger side. Only difference here is Dodge will not step up and back up their product. Told me they will not make the repairs under warranty and it is my responsibility. Would like to know if there are more people out there that have had this happen to them as I will take this issue to court if I have to. Please reply and let me know how your blown out window issue was resolved with Dodge.
