Default mirror

I actually found that the mirror is hooked or hinged at the top and snaps in at the bottom. You only need to pull the bottom to get it off. Some are very tight. You can get a whole heated mirror on e bay for less than $200 in new condition. I bought 2.

sad part is i might be stuck buying a new assembly after all i pulled a little too hard on the square beauty ring/mirror surrond and broke it off where it screws into the pivot point.... i put the painted part back on w the screws to see if it would hold. looks like it will, but im gonna call hensons in texas tommorow to get a quote. they have the best prices, and if its somewhat reasonable i might just get a new mirror package....... i dont want to pay to have it painted, put it back on , and have problems down the road. when i could at least save the paint money and buy a new mirror......

You mean taht little L shaped piece on the painted part that sort of "hooks into" the pivot point? If you broke that I would not worry. The three torq will hold it.

As for pull from the bottom of the mirror (up I assume). Well, good luck with that working for you! Unless the passenger and drivers mirrors are 180 degrees different. I will post pics tomorrow for anyone interested in how this works.

the actuall glass. what i meant was grab the top of the mirror and pull out. the two top pins will release. then the whole mirror will be loose. then you can just tilt a little to release the bottom two....

I've been messing with his stupid glass, pulling on the top for 30 minutes. If someone has pics, please post.

Better yet, anyone want to trade a Chrome mirror (heated, signal, & puddle light) for a black one with the same features? Totally blacking out my truck and trying to get rid of all chrome. Laramie was probably a bad choice...

You should have just gone with a sport man........it's gonna cost you , you have chrome bumpers too eh? Well they say those front ones rust anyway so I guess a paint job on them would help.
