Default bed rug install questions

So i got the bedrug installed, and it looks pretty cool.

few questions for those that have installed one of these

The back wall, up against the cab with the dodge logo, i cant get it to sit flat...will that sit flat eventyally, or what am i missing cause i made several atempts annd they alll had the result. Seems the back needs velcro around where the logo is...but no place to put it?

any advice on cutting the slits in corners for the tie downs

seems velcro if accidentally comes in contact with the bed rug is like cryptonite. It pulls the bed ,material up..

What about the back top lip of the bed, its that top at the back window where the plastic factory liner hung off, well now that its gone i have scratches and its while almost is some spots....any advice besides get it repainted....anyplace sell something to cover that up

you have to cut the slits before the back will sit right and slit them in the right spot also. It's really not rocket science I had my 18 year old put mine in. I want to pull the drivers side off and smooth it out a bit but I don't want him to catch me correcting something that really doesn't matter.

It doesnt matter the bedrug should be fine and it will dry or go thru and then the water will drain out the holes in the bed....are there any??? If your bakflip leaks why don't you take it back, I have a cheap 249 dollar vinly tonneau that lifts like a solid top, easily removed and light, my wife put it together and installed it on the truck the instructions are the type that you NEED to carefully follow. or you will be doiing this twice and thrice.LOL It has a nice rubber seal and the way it is set up not only do the rams hold the cover up they also pull it down when it is on the truck, it is very low profile, sits nice on the truck. Only issue is the box top is not shaped exactly square it has a curve to it on the outside and it makes any tonneau that sits on top look like it is not the right shape if you look from an upper window or something, Anyway It is the best purchase I have made. Made by Craftec and I got it on Ebay.

your pretty much screwed with baks warranty customer service.

EXTANG is industry best period. out of ann arbor mi, (close to my house) i should have stayed with them.

anyway, imho. any type of cover that sits on the rails is way more water tight than something that mounts on a track inside of the bed i.e. bakflip etc....

Pics please, not quite following you here. Does it look like this? It's not supposed to fit glove tight and up front you want some breathing room so any water under the rug drains away.

Sharp utility knife. Press the bedrug up against the tie town, lightly score the bedrug about 1.5 inches directly over the tie down taking care not to cut through and slice into the tie down paint. I my first one. Then pull the bedrug back a bit and cut all the way through. The tie down will then poke through nice and tight.

Crod the bedrug laughs in the general direction of water, and gasoline, and oil, and even acid. It looks like carpet, even feels like carpet, but its not carpet, its made from the same plastic they used to make plastic cutting boards for kitchens.

First off thanks for the feedback gang, this is the most informative forum i have been part of..

got the slits cut, nice and clean looks good

two last questions

The back looks great, but where the ram logo is, its about 3/4" offset from the back....i can push it against the back, but comes back...should i put a drop of glue to hold it against the back or just leave it be

second, the tailgate part doesnt seem to fit like the rest, its on there but center is not secure....another thing that i should not worry about, or fix

thanks gang

and the lip on the back, anyone else have scratches from the factory POS plastic liner?
