Default Another tire pressure sensor question

I am thinking of getting another rim for my spare so I can do a five tire rotation. It seems a waste to have that full size spare just sitting under the truck. First off I have a 2500 so my regular rim will fit under the truck. So if i rotate the tires and put the tire with the sensor under the truck what will happen? Nothing? since it will still be reading the tire? But my evic shows tire pressure for each tire where it is located on the truck.

Couple things.

1) I thought that the spare had a sensor 2
2) If the evic knows which tire is where, what do you have to do if you rotate the tires? (the 2009 only tells you that one of them is low, no individual pressures or location)

The evic shows all four tires and a digital PSI reading for each tire, nothing for the spare.

Interesting....I thought I read somewhere that the spare was monitored as well.

remember the spare is not a full spare but a temporary lower quality spare only.

Only if you get the pimp daddy 20's. Guys with 17's get a real tire that matches the other 4.

Having factory 20's on my Laramie makes me a pimp daddy? I think not, you are obviously jealous.

LOL - the rims are pimp daddy not you. And jealous - definitley not. I had to look long and hard to find a truck with the 17's. Not enough rubber between the rim and the road on a stock 20 for the places I tow/drive.
