Hello All!

New to Dodge and the Forum. I have been a long Ford F-250 Diesel Guy and finally made the switch over to the Dodge 1500.

I placed the order on March 3, 2010 and got a call from the Dealer on April 1, 2010 saying the Truck was in and ready to pick up. At first I thought it was an April Fool's Joke but later that night I am loving my new 2010 Crew Cab Laramie exactly as I wanted.

I know it's comparing Apple's to Oranges when you compare a Half-Ton to a 3/4 Ton truck but I am loving the ride and power of the new Ram 1500!

Definitely glad I made the switch.

I did have one random question... What is the little circle light looking thing between the Universal Link Buttons and Sunroof Buttons? I could swear I have seen that thing light up but can't do it again. What is that thing? Can't find any info on it.

do you have auto climate control?

 

sounds like they found a match at another dealer rather than what you ordered.

ps. that light is a light. it illuminates your console at night.

 

I don't have the sunroof but I have the garage door controls, and there's a tiny little recessed circular lens/light/thingy up there, I'm thinking it's for the auto climate control as well and not a light. Wouldn't make sense for it to be a light when you have the two bigger overhead cabin lights less than a foot from it, plus it's angled away from the console it points more towards the center of the backseat. Glad you made the switch and are enjoying it man! I've always liked Dodges, considered buying a fully loaded 2010 F-150 for about 5 minutes when I was looking at new trucks, didn't like the exterior looks, the interior looks, the power (or lack thereof comparatively), just...bleh. I really wish they'd make a quad cab SRT though...I would have bought that in a heartbeat if they did.

 

The one toward the rear between the sunroof and rear window switch is the light. It lights the center console when your dash and parking lights are on. The one towards the front near the garage door switches is the climate control sensor.

 

Yes I have auto climate dual zone and I thought it was the climate sensor as well but at one time it was a small greenish light which I found odd as the two main lights are right next two it.

No big deal just was curious! Yeh I am now a big believer of Dodge... The ride, the quiet interior and not having to deal with that ridiculous turbo lag from those silly Dust Particulate Filters on all new diesels! You push the pedal and it goes!

As for my order coming so quick I don't think it came from another dealer as the Von and Vin # matched my invoice and I took possesion of it with 5 miles only... So I seem to have been very lucky with my order!

If you ordered it from the factory the Window Sticker will have your name on the bottom of it.

 

Yep, just checked my factory window sticker and it says "Made Especially for My Name!"

I don't know how I got mine in less then 30 days but I am not complaining... loving the Dodge!
