Default Return of Cool Chrome!?

Today, while doing the KBB "price with options" on the truck which I'm ordering on Monday, I had an amazing moment, when I saw under color selection "Cool Vanilla"!! Even better, was farther down the page they had the "Cool Chrome" package, which includes the CV color and chrome step bars!

The truck which I'm buying was ordered this past week, as Crew Sport in white and I was researching to see if I wanted other options, so that they could change the order. I'm psyched if indeed this is true, as the spring order cool chrome '08s were the sexiest looking trucks ever, until the '09 redesign. Now that the '09 and '10 trucks are so gorgeous, I've been dying for an off-white color and was really disappointed when they went back to bright white for '10. The dodge website doesn't show it, as they are usually slow to update, so I'm praying that KBB is correct.

Also, have you all noticed that the '10.5 sport models finally come with painted grills and slat grill inserts instead of the honey comb? Man o man, I cannot wait to see my sport crew in cool vanilla!

not a fan of the Cool Vanilla, looks like the paint is oxidized.

The cool chrome packages started rolling off the line last week. They are going to an upfitter in Warrem , Mi to have the step bars put on. I have seen them first hand and they do look good. (no chrome fuel door though)

There is no such thing as any 'cool' chrome after the 1950's !!! And yes, I am a plain old boring mono-tone guy...

Update, apparently due to the "chrome" part of the "cool chrome" nickname, this package is NOT available in the sport trim, only SLT and apparently Laramie. I'm a bit disappointed to not have the stiched dash or seats, but I think the color will be worth it (ordered SLT big horn w/cool chrome).

As I remember back in 2008, I saw maybe 1 or 2 per dealer, so they should be pretty rare. Late May can't come soon enough, she should be great!
