You need to pay extra now to listen online.

Brummo is correct.......

I got mine about a year ago, and figuered that I should be able to listen online. I went about registering and opening an account with Sirius, only to find out that you have to pay a monthly fee to get internet access through a CPU. It's not much, I think it was like $3, but I chose not to do it, so I don't remember exactly.

Actually,

with the one year subscription you get free "standard" internet radio, just ask them for it, however it sounds like crap compared to the "high quality" where you need to pay the $3 monthly fee billable up front yearly..

when i renewed, i selected basic radio only, no talk programs and added the high quality internet radio...it was a cheaper route for me that saved money

standard i think is like 128bit if that
high quality is 192bit....and I'm still waiting on high def from Sirius

Isn't the $3 for XM only? I dont pay the $3 and have an app on my ipod for free. You need to call them to set up an internet account.

I have 3 accounts and 3 sign ins for the internet one for each vehicle. Just call them and they will give you your sign in even if you are on the free ride still. Then you just go to the site click up near the top right Play Music and sign in and if you have good speakers you can rock.

Don't know what they told you guys, but when I called a few weeks ago to transfer my subscription from my old portable unit to my truck ( my truck subscription ran out ) they told me that they no longer offer the free listening on your computer any more. Now you have to pay for it, unlike before when you could listen online for free. Also sirius owns xm so the the price difference shouldn't be different. I guess if you call and do some sweet talking, then who knows, maybe they will give it to you for free.

sirius is shady people. i bought the lifetime and after 2 years i was informed it would cost me $75 to switch units from the old to a new one or the newer one to my trucks even if their device fails. now they are taking away the internet free which was part of what i signed onto. when howard leaves ill be selling my radio and subscription.sure wish there was a satelite competitor. as soon as they aquired xm it was exactly what the monopoly people in govt said. screw the consumer
