Angry Superchips is frustrating

I got rid of my Diablosport programmer because everyone on here seemed to really like their Superchips.

Well, I have had mine for a week and I still haven't even been able to try it out. I got the 'your vehicle calibration is not supported yet' message, and updated my calibration to Superchips the day I got it. Well I just got off the phone with them because I am still waiting for my calibration to get uploaded in their system, and they said that it might be until next Wednesday before I get it! A week and a half with the thing just sitting on my counter staring me in the face. At this rate I won't even be able to return it within the 30 days because I haven't been able to try it out fully.

My Diablosport programmer worked right out of the box and I didn't have any issues with it, and I am starting to doubt myself for making the switch.

The 30 day money back guarantee won't start until you're able to program the truck. You're fine there.

Send me your tuner serial number via PM and I'll forward it along to the engineer.

Thanks,

Sil

only if your tuner said it didnt have the profile and that you needed to send it in. some of the ones that are getting released now already have the right updates on them. some dont so we had to send our data in. no worries.

Someone correct me if I am wrong... Silshemi you might know more??

Superchips is just doing what every tuner company should be doing. They are looking at each individual trucks' program from the factory and then providing a program that will work with it to improve performance. Most tuners use a "one size fits all" approach and that is why some vehicles respond and others don't. There are usually many different programs from the manufacturers throughout the model year. Give Superchips time, I did and I am pretty happy with the results.

I am doubting you too just because you switched for no known reason. You did it because everyone else liked THEIR Superchip?

Classic Block Head.....LOL

This is exactly spot on.

Dodge has a myriad of calibrations. Many are different from one another. This is why you see other tuning companies struggling with Dodge TCM support and ultimately can't get it right.

Superchips is much more methodical, in some cases a little slower, but they compile all their code work and bench test code that is new. It's a complicated routine they go through, but it's one that gets better results and with protecting the end user's investment in mind. I know the wait in some cases can be trying, but IMO it's better to be sure than guess with code and your truck.

Then they should be upfront with the time that is entailed. I was told 24-48 hours. A week later I had a tune that still didn't work.

Another week and I got "I have requested a time from calibrator."

If there is a chance it's still not gonna work 2+ weeks after they get your files, they need to make the user aware of that.
