Default Need Some Information on Levelling Kits

Team;

I have a 2010 Dodge CrewCab Big Horn package and am looking at at a 2" leveling kit for the front as I caught my front end in a washout going out shooting the other day. Got some scrapes in the plastic, but, do need to get the front lifted a bit. I was looking at the autospring spacer (ebay seller) that goes between the strut and the frame mount. I bought these for an '04 Ford FX4 and they installed easily, but sometimes would bind & pop when I was off-roading. So, has anyone tried these spacers for just the front and if so, has anyone had any problems with them, as I thought I read in an earlier post a Forum member was told they would destroy the tie-rod ends or ball-joints.

Can any recommend other levelling kits and provide information on them?

Your help is appreciated.

Dave

the "best" thing goin is the bilstien leveling shocks. hands down. about $400 for all 4 shocks. seems like it will be the "best" at not messing up your ball joints etc.

BUT!! just about everyone on here with any type of leveling kit has 4x4 shudder issues. seems like only the lifted guys arent having any issues...

hope this helps.

Thanks for the information. What is this 4 wheel drive shudder that Crod mentioned?

search it on here. some reason it changes the front shaft angles just enough to have the "shudder"...... vibration whatever you want to call it, in 4x4....

I went with the Dodge 2.5 front 3/4 rear kit. Installed by the dealer with the truck and they will do any warranty on it. I have no shudder what so ever. I could not be happier with it, but I seem to be the odd man out.

Honestly, I think more people DON'T have issues than do actually have them. It's just that we really only hear from the people that do have problems because they are the ones looking for answers or yelling from the rooftops. I heard from one of the companies that it is something like 100:1 from what they have seen. I'm not sure yet, but it seems I am noticing more people having success lately...maybe 2010's have less of an issue? My luck, I'll be one of those having issues...guess I'll know in a week or so.
