Default HID 6000k or 8000k

Looking to get the HID kits for the lows and fogs, I know that the 6k are pure white and the 8k have the bluish tint to them. Does anyone know first hand as to which (if one or the other) puts out the brightest beam on the road. Do the 8k put out the same light just with the blue tint to them?

I put 6K in my low beams and 8K in my fogs. The 8K puts out more light because of the way the light is defused (reflected) thru a fog light. The 6K has more of a concentrated beam to it when placed in the low beam housing(not as many reflection squares to diffuse).

That combination appears to match perfectly to the different light patterns it sends out. The only way you notice a difference in color is by shining it on your garage door. The average driver that is approaching you on the road cannot see a lighting difference. The more "bluer" you go, the darker it will appear to you when driving on the road. The blue color will come to a point to where you are outputting a lot of light, yet it won't reflect the dashed white lines on the road(dark purple color). It would appear to you that you were driving with your lights off, except you have your lights on.

If your worried that the 6K light color doesn't look like high end luxury car, you would be wrong. The 6K light looks very blue on our trucks.

Yeah thanks. Thats kinda what i thought aswell. I know that 5k is equivilant to a oem HID, i just don't want it to look too bluish. I like the superwhite look better anyways. But, i think im gonna go with the 6k low and 8k fogs combo.

Same. I have 6k low/fogs. My buddy has 8k on his ram and I personally prefer the colour of 6k. It still has a whitish blue tinge to it and looks sleek, but if you want a more blue look, go with 8k.
