Default Passing on a good deal?

So I stopped in to the dodge dealer today....

1) NO more 2010 orders...only 2011 with delivery in OCT.

2) Went looking for a QC bighorn or Sport..ended up working numbers on the following.

2010 Crewcab Bighorn 4x4, premium cloth buckets with floor shifter, Hemi, 3.9 gear, Tow package, Chrome clad wheels, Protection package with tow hooks. Mineral Gray....its a beautiful truck and blows my 04 Laramie 2wd away!

Grand total $40410....

with $3500 down....

Told I had till 530pm to take the truck home for $29400...OUT THE DOOR.

I mulled over it all day and decided to counter offer at $25,400... and would come in and sign right now...

The said NO!

Im thinking on waiting till about the 27th, and if the truck is still there to give it another shot at my price.....

Thoughts from the peanut gallery?

I've been hearing that $10,000 off sticker is the going rate...plus or minus.

Go back and buy now. Out the door meaning with tax that is the best you will do.

Yeah, that truck will be gone by the end of the month. Don't wait until all the good 2010s are picked through thinking you'll get a 40K truck for 25K. Only vehicles they give away like that are the ones they have to give away.

That's like 12K off! Run don't walk and get that truck.

Yeah, that's a damn good deal....I got just under $11,000 off mine and I pressed the dealer for 2 days and only got $500 more and some oil change.

It's really only $8800 off as the 29k includes my 3500 down. 40410- 29400=11010 off sticker. 11010-3500 down payment= 7510. 7510+ 1300 tax/tag/tt= 8810 off msrp.
I went in with the attitude that I would like a new truck, not need one. I really needed to be wowed today and I wasn't. Just getting off a 48hr shift may have contributed to not caring. Haha
