Operating Temps.
Did some towing on the weekend and was watching my temps. Problem is, without a typical guage showing the yellow/red zones, I have no idea what would be considered high temps. I would assume something would go red, or an allert would pop up if it got to warm, tranny, oil or coolant but what would be considered too high a temp?
My issue was, if that is what the bar was for, as I got to it, poof, it is gone. Then you have no idea how far over it you are. Unless you remember where it is. And normal operating temp should be a range, not a single number. How far above that till you hit a caution zone, or a danger zone?
So does mine, it shows the temp and where you are at in the bar below it. The bar shows -40 to 300 for trans temp with a blip in the middle at around I believe 180? I can't remember what the temp was when I hit the blip. So, above the blip, how far above is too far? Is 300 ok? I would doubt it, but like I said, it shows no warning zone, unless it does something if it gets too hot?
