Default Vantech racks?

Anyone used one of these? Very similiar to the TracRac, but the price is lower and it attaches to the rails rather than into the stake pockets.

I need some way of carrying a couple Kayaks and I found out last summer that the roof on the crewcab flexes too much to just set saddle blocks on the roof.

Well, guess I'll find out. Manufacturer sells them on ebay a whole lot cheaper than on their website. They didn't have the one I wanted listed, but cut me a deal equivilant to the others they were selling on ebay. $389 shipped, seemed fair to me.

I was looking to see if they have a toolbox adapter that works with their kit.

Got the rack today and installed it. The rack itself is nice and sturdy. They don't sell full rails for the supershort box, so you just get the 6ft rails and cut them down. Unfortunately the towers tilt in enough to interfere with my BakFlip. So I'll be removing the back set of towers when I don't need them.

Was messing around with the rack today since my wife wanted a tandem Kayak and I had to pick it up. Found a position that the rear can be set in so that the BakFlip will get past it. So I can fold it all the way up to the front rack. I'm a happy camper now.

Did you get the tall or short rack? How about a pic I would like to see how high they are compared to the cab.

The short rack, I'll have to take a picture tommorrow. The top of the rack is about 2" over the top of the cab.
