Default Well, this sucks!

I was pleasantly surprised that my new Ram that I ordered 4/23 was built super-quick on 5/12, shipped out by rail 5/13, and arrived in my metro area 5/17. Wow, I figured I'd be driving it within 5 weeks of order!!

Since then my dealer and I have been waiting for it to get trucked over to them. I just found out that they called the district rep and learned all Rams built recently and not yet delivered to dealers are on factory hold wherever they sit. Apparently they are waiting to create a flash to fix them before they can be sold or put on a lot. Ack!!

Anyone have any inside info about what might be going on or how long the fix will take??

Oh boy that could be anything, bet you will see a recall some of you with later model 2010's then we will know. Unless it was detected in plant then it is a matter of fixing them wherever they are. I worked once on a repair team to replace a hose on minivans 20 years ago they were parked everywhere I made a fortune in OT I think that year and we are talking around 20 years agoI made 80 grand. Paid a ton of tax.
Call your dealer they should know what the hold if for, but usually they won't say cuz then everyone comes in with their presently owned vehicle. Hey maybe I will be able to get my exhaust studs now.

I just would like to say that I am glad I am not waiting on one of those, I am way too impatient.

No updates yet this week. Guess it's going to be a while.

No new news from my sales guy today. They want me to sign the papers before the end of the month to fluff up their May sales. Seems like nothing in it for me but I guess we can go through with it. I will definitely have a clause in the contract about being able to refuse delivery pending physical inspection.

ding ding ding ding...that is what I would say what's it worth to them. Get yourself some freebies, undercoating, paint sealant, interior protection with the warranties. Maybe an upgraded extended warranty on their dime??

You're probably right to suggest passing on the early signing. I got no sense they would throw in anything for me so signing early is nothing but negatives for me.
