You know what, I don't care how much you pay for a vehicle. The paint is something "everyone" notices, so be super critical. I had paint issues all over my truck. I noticed them after my first wash, too. I complained and complained even filed a corporate complaint. After three different dealers and the corporate complaint, I found a great service director. He got a Chrysler rep. to come out and look at the truck. After some firm words of the direction I was going to take it, if they didn't correct it the rep. came up with this solution: lifetime maximum care plan, 7yr/100,000 all inclusive maintenance plan and if I want it fixed at anytime they will fix the paint. Moral of my story, if you stand up for what is right, whether you pay 29K or 45K (I paid 29K for a loaded out 2010 TRX Hemi) it's still important, a lot of money and if under a little pressure Chrysler will stand behind and up for their product, well at least in my case.

I still have some other concerns and they are working on them. And, all though I have been vocal about my trucks issues, not once has Chrysler made me feel like a whiner. They have appreciated the concerns I've had and am having with my truck working hard, well at least working, to fix them!!

I'm glad to hear some of you have had good experiences with this. Hopefully mine will be the same. I managed to get off work a little early yesterday so I went ahead and stopped by the dealer. A service advisor and the main service director came out to look at the truck. I showed them the most noticeable spot first and the first words out of their mouths, "It looks like someone painted it with a brush!" I went ahead and showed them every other spot I found and the director said they'll do whatever it takes to make it right and he was going to call the Chrysler rep right away. I was also given a list of the main body shops they use and was told I can choose which one it goes to. They seemed genuinely concerned about the whole thing, but we'll see what happens.

Now you have to pick the right body shop, what I would do is pay them and unexpected visit the cleanest body shop in the middle of the day will be the best one. The ones that dont keep it clean as they go seem to have dirty paint jobs. Also have a look at some of their work, stuff that is still there, look at the employees, are they all kids out of school or look like they belong they. Oh ya and uniforms, if they are not wearing some type of uniform seems to tell me no order there, goes back to the cleanliness
I am glad another happy customer, I have a 2000 Dakota 4x4 that has a lifetime paint warranty on it but non transferable. Mine was the same, but I got no warranty just a file number and a phone number for the body shop to call and get an ok.

I picked mine up yesterday. It looks better, but now it has little spots all in it they are going to try to wet sand. They were talking about how good it looked and I was pointing out all the issues I had with it.

I went without my truck for a week without a rental. I called the Dodge Customer Service number and told them I will let the dealer take care of it, but they need to give me something to drive if I they keep it another week.

They also forgot to tighten the door handle and when I said something about it, they said all of the techs were gone. I had to take the door panel off and tighten the handle from the inside.

I almost wish I would have kept my 2007

I have a '09 1500 and it has the best paint job of any truck or car I have ever had. I bought my first car in 1950.
I have mostly Fords. The worst paint job was on a Ranger and a Chevy. My last Ford, an '03 F150 Crew was bad on the top.
