No one who drives four door trucks is really interetsetd in a truck, to haul people you giving up the utility of a 8 foot box, I agree not every one needs a 8 foot box, how ever the short box crowd is really fun to watch at the home reno stores, loading up 8 ft sheets of dry wall, ply wood ect, in a short box with the tail gate down, yes it can be done but having been thier and done that, a 8 foot box is more pratical.

So, get the four door and short box to haul people and justify owning a truck that really rides like a nice, great handeling car that you need a utilty trailer for to haul the bacon home.

NOw I kinda whish I had the four door car with a box !!!!

Try parking a crew cab with an 8 foot box. You should buy a tractor trailer it has more towing capacity. There's an *** for every seat....

I dont look at the crew cabs as a car with a box, but an SUV with an open rear cargo area that is separated from the passengers.

I agree on the parking of 'real' pickups, making three point turns to get through a McDonalds drive through and having to park a mile away from stores at the mall because the lots arent designed for semis is no fun - been there. But I guess real men dont park at shopping malls anyhow lol.

If you need an 8' bed then its pretty silly to buy a pickup truck with a 5.5' bed, just as silly to buy a pickup with an 8' bed if you only need a 5' as well..
