Stopped by the ford dealer today...
And our Ram weigh what, 2000 lbs more than the Mustangs and some still try to race them.
If there weren't five of us in my family I would have already traded for the 5.0. But I'm limited to a five seater and the SRT8 I test drove just didn't do it for me with the six speed. Not to mention I got my Ram for $15K under what the Challenger would have cost.
But I've still got my '88 notch with a forged 347ci sitting in the back yard needing paint and minor body work.

They weren't exactly quick...there was legal action taken after recalls that dragged on and on didn't fix the issues. In fact, they didn't even put it out in '00.
The new '11s are dope. The car I mentioned before went 12.6 at 112 on street tires with a road race suspension set up. Nothing but a tune, in humid conditions.
They weigh close to 600 #s less than a SRT-8.

Yep, Brent Nunn up at Texan Ford installed the first recall kit in Texas on his g/f's Cobra. Autoweek has a recent front page article on the new GT500 Cobra with perf. pkg. the price is up in BMW territory but fast as hell.
At the liqour store and I was not driving, just drinking thier this red Ford Rap thing reving up its engine and this chick rubbing her mid section up and down the grill, now I shoot my mouth off, rev it up rev it good, the young kids in the ford rig are gung ho to impress me, I just wanted see a ford find the grave today, 3 to five min at full throtle bouncing off the rev limitor did nothing but call over the cops.
Such A %$% disturber tonight !!!

I think the Raptor looks wicked but, as pointed out, who wants to take out a 50K truck and start beating it up.The 5.4 is just zzzzzzzz and the 6.2 isn't enough for that beast IMHO. But the absolute worst thing would be sitting at the light in your 50K 6.2L truck and looking over at a 30K 'ish 5.7L Hemi waiting for the light to turn green.......
Dodge should do the required testing to sell some compitition for the Raptor. Truck power wise, the 6.2 makes a bit more power than a hemi, but less per inch. And the Ford guys been griping about having to rev a HEMI? you gotta rev the 6.2 to 4500 to make max torque, and it's REALLY HEAVY! Yeah! it just needs a 6.4 wooping it, a limited run of 6.4s for Ram 1500s. Stick a 6 speed to it, let the traction control stuff be turned off, and it would be plety competition! On the Challengers, I knew they were too long and heavy (expensive too!) to compete with the Mustang....Best looking tho
