got a tonneau(sp) cover on my truck and the filthy rats for engineers think they have to put holes in the bed. anyone figure out how to make them air tight? yes i have a tailgate seal but those are kind of a joke. for the price we pay for these pickups you would think they could make em right.

 

Ummmmm........ seriously? How dare they put holes in the bed to allow water to drain. Bad engineers..... BAD!!!

Next time buy a Suburban. Some of the complaints I see here are just ridiculous. It's a pickup truck not a station wagon.

 

They are to let any build up of condensation or if you dont have a tonneau and want the bed to not fill with water

I just realized and read over again holes in the top, where the heck are you talk about the stake hole? The square ones? If thats them water cannot get in if you tonneau is on right...pics would help.

 

well for one where the tie down hooks are, there's a hole behind them, two in the front(although they are sort of plugged, scrath that, where, after bedliner the plugs don't fit) and it seems like i noticed some more around.

you guys don't understand. there is no reason that they can't make them air tight, or at least dust tight. it's annoying when anything you put in there is full of dust.

Why don't you seal them yourself. For a few bucks at a hardware store, expanding foam for larger openings, silicon seal for smaller ones. Not sure how it will hold up or look. but hey, you have a topper. Throw down a rug, make a camper insert. That will hide the foam.
