Actually you are wrong. My Dodge Dealer has done a few of them for people. They said its a little bit of a headache to put the front on as they dont do it every day but it does fit. Also a few people on another Dodge Forum have swapped.
And the rear bumpers are exactly the same design just one is crome. haha

I've heard of some people doing it too. I have toyed with the idea too so I was doing some looking around and it looked like it was going to be about $500 / bumper. It seems like you could just do the front and the chrome rear wouldn't look too bad.
They're not compatible. A sport bumper can be put on but there's a lot more to it than just swapping them out. I almost did it to my laramie but decided it wasn't worth it.
