Default Got my new muffler...

Well, with no help from the board, and that's ok, I got a new muffler for my '09 Hemi Ram w/ factory dual exhaust. After a lot of phone calls and research, with no available soundbites, I trusted my local muffler shop and had them install a Solo Performance Mach 44 muffler. They had had several customers come in and get Flowmaster, and Magnaflow only to return and complain about the MDS sounds. They had not had 1 single customer come back and complain about the Solo. So far, I have only driven it home from the shop, but I like what I hear. I will be taking it to work on Sunday, so I'll get some acceleration and MDS operation. It's louder than stock, sure to get louder with my upcoming CAI install, but not as loud as the Flowmaster or 14" Magnaflow. For those of you worried about sound for yourselves, your wives, or your children, you will definitely like the tone of this muffler. I hope to get more details and some soundbites for those interested sometime next week.

glad to see you are happy with what you got. i think the complaints about MDS sounds are from 3rd gen owners. i have yet to hear a 4th gen'er complain about it.

Whats your update on the solo? I've been looking at them myself. Want something just a little louder than stock but dont want it to be over bearing.

What'd it run you in price for the muffler?

Thanks so much for your interest in Solo Performance. Our Mach-44 muffler is a great choice for your truck. It has a deep basy tone and has a 3” inlet and a dual 2 ½” outlets. It is 22” long and has a 5” X 11” body size. It is a tig welded polished stainless steel muffler that is free flow but heavily packed with stainless steel wool and ceramic fibers to deaden the noise. It is the quietest free flow muffler on the market. It has a deep tasteful tone without the annoying drone.

The Mach-44 sells for $125 plus $20 for shipping. Please e-mail or call if you have any further questions etc.

Sorry for the delay, now I'm on vacation. I paid $175 installed with everything welded up. It has a deep throaty sound louder than stock with absolutely no drone. I'm getting my CAI in the next couple days at the Chryslers at Carlisle show. I'm hoping it gets a little louder. I'm even considering replacing the Flowmasters on my RoadRunner with the Storm series.
