they look different(color, shape), but do exactly the same thing. the flashpaq has a 1 year warranty, the cortex a 2 year warranty. the 2 year warranty is the main difference. but if you buy the transmission management software (it's an upgrade) it voids all the warranty. hope that helps.

Just to clarify, the 2-year warranty offered with the Cortex is an additional powertrain warranty on your vehicle. And, yes, if you buy the transmission tuning add-on module it voids that 2-year powertrain warranty. Also, I think the Cortex has some ability to tune multiple vehicles. Otherwise they are identical in function when it comes to the actual tuning.

Well I did it! I ordered mine yesterday. But it's gonna be a month before I get it! I got it shipped to my sisters way out in Wyoming. My parents are there and will bring it back to Canada when they come. Crazy I know, but I save about $100-$150. The shipping would of only been $13, but the brokerage fees were $50, plus the duty/taxes. Yes I'm cheap, but I call it "thrifty". So I'm gonna pay $325 Canadian instead of $450+. Cheapest I could find in Canada was about $425 and our dollars are almost even! We get bent over up here!
