Default Coil spring air bags?

I have a 31 ft travel trailer with a 650lb tongue weight and even with a weight distributing hitch the rear sags quite a bit and I get some back to front rocking while traveling down the road. Has anyone installed the new Firestone Coil Rite air bags for xtra support? If so, did you do it yourself, how long for installation and are you happy with the results? I ordered the bags today and am hoping they take care of my problems. Another question. Since the dealer set up the Blue Ox hitch without the bags am I going to have to reconfigure the setup once the bags are on? Thanks in advance for any imput.

BigBlueEdge, thanks for the info. The kits look very similar. I got too giddy and already ordered the Firestone set. I was able to get it for $81.65 total shipped. I was just hoping I could get feed back on how well (or not so well) they worked and if I would need to reset my weight distributing hitch.

I have a set on my truck as well and they work great wouldn't want to tow without them ever again. Very easy to install with basic hand tools.

Does the Firestone kit have separate air valves for each bag or a T fitting and one valve so the bags are equalized? The pictures on the product pages for them make it look like separate. But the Air Lift 1000 looks like a T fitting. I'd think the T would be preferred, both because of keeping pressure equal and for ease of adjustment.

Yes the Air Lift 1000 set-up uses a t-fitting and it fills both bags at the same rate and pressure. And you can mount the nipple to fill them anywhere as long as you have enough hose. Mine is mounted next to the license plate.

airlift bags u can run them individually or tee'd together. i choose to run them seperately incase im loaded unevenly.

Firestone guys,
Do you have to remove the spring to put the spacers in? or do they have small spacers that just slide between the coils. The airlift bag u need to remove the spring to get the 2.5" spacer in.

Firestone has separate fittings, which if you are hauling an uneven load is better. If you had say the left side heavy you could add a little extra pressure to even it out. Also With a t fitting the air can transfer between bags in the corners and cause the body to roll. With my setup - 0 body roll with the bags filled. The truck handles really well with my loaded up car hauler.

No need to remove the coils with firestone. i went with firestone because of the taller bag, i had to make a spacer to take up the extra room from my 4" lift.
