2010 inferno red Ram sport

I had washed it this morning and it was looking shiny and beautiful, I had it parked and went for a drive and as I was walking around it later I noticed some white on the passenger door, looking closer it became apparent it was a good scrape mark, about half an inch long scratches spread out over about an inch and then about 6 inches higher another little one, seems obvious someone let their door open into mine and it was at the perfect distance to take the paint off




short of an extremely expensive repaint of the whole door, is there anything I can do?

 

Get a tube of touchup paint from the dealer and get used to it. It's a truck and if you park it near other cars/trucks it's going to get dinged.

 

I park far away from anyone! anyone who DOES park beside me when im like 7 spaces away from anyone else gets an ear full!

I was at Home depot one morning FAR back in the parking lot! about 10 spaces away from any car, van or truck! I was there talking on my cellphone with the girlfriend in the truck aswell waiting to go in Anyway as I yap away on the phone this MORON in an older model car pulls up beside my truck on the drivers door!

Pretty much he parked opposite to my truck but DIDNT pull ahead into the free space infront! So pretty much he would have to back out if someone pulled infront of his car! Honestly who does that! As I look down he honestly parked 5 inches away from my door! I'm a thing guy and can squeeze through tight area's no problem! Just seeing how tight he parked to my truck i know I couldnt get the door open to get out! I rolled my window down as he got out and just went nuts on the guy who was asian. Not trying to say anything by that by the way!

he just stood there looking me and got in his car and pulled it ahead. Anyone who gets snapped for something like this I assume would park in another area far away from that person who just went nuts on them. haha!

Anyway as I was coming back to the truck with some building material the moron had a skid of hardwood floor trying to roll back at my truck which he was despretely trying to stop! He even had to do a short sprint to catch it while I was walking to my truck!

Dont take me as being a crazy ***** with an attitude as im normally a chilled out guy who woud give the shirt off my back if someone needed it!

When I saw he almost hit my truck with a HUGE metal cart I just snapped and let what i had go and said to him 'You are walking on a very thin line with me buddy! First you park like a moron now you almost hit my truck with the metal cart! I bet your one of those A'Holes who leave the cart in the parking lot then leave and have the cart roll into my truck!'


he just looked at me as if he was expecting me to lay a beat down. A guy actually came over which heard the entire thing and told the guy to quickly load his flooring and get the hell out of there to make sure I waent going to start a fight. The girlfriend the entire time just watched from behind the truck as he rarely ever sees me like this!

When it comes to my truck(My baby) im a whole new person. Sad eh!!

Unfortunately, thats about all it takes to ding the thin metal on these new Rams.

I'm a douche bag cuz I let my shopping cart roll into a brand new SUV next to me while the lady was loading her groceries a few weeks ago. It only rolled about a foot but put a quarter size dent in the fender.

Well, I'm not a total dork...I pulled a Ben Franklin out of my wallet and insisted she take it.

Chit happens.

 

Guy parks like a moron and then almost hits someone elses vehicle(Mine) with a heavy duty cart is a douche move.

I bet im not the only one to work my **** off to drop $35,000+ on a truck which was my first real big purchase to have it damaged by someone not pating attention to what was going on.

Had the tail gate damaged by the boss who didnt care one bit about paying me for what he did which i had to drop $300 on a new paintjob in a 3 month old truck.

I guess i can be a douche when it comes down to my truck!

 

I'm with you. I get super pissed when i park a mile from the store just to have some a-hole park 5"s from my truck.

 

I went to a bagel store and when I came out this jackass parked literally 5 inches away. I had to enter through the passanger side, and then... I just waited. I wanted to see him get into his car without denting my truck. Well he did get in by squeezing his body against his car, doubt he would of done that if I wasn't there. I work to hard for my money to let some *** do what he wants with my truck. It's simple just be aware of what your doing.

 

PARK IN THE FARTHEST AWAY SPOT IN THE LOT.
TAKE AT LEAST TWO SPACES.
USE A HANDICAP HANGER IF YOU HAVE ONE.
No matter how "right" you may be, you'll still end up with damage if you park anywhere near others. It might be a little inconvenient to park that far away but at the end of the day your truck will be OK & you won't have to deal with that sick feeling every time you walk past the dent... or the expense of repair.

I agree with the smart people of this one! I work my *** off to have the things I have and hate it when some dumb **** has to park right next to me in a big old parking lot!!! Happens to me every time. And oh ya you dent my truck cause your careless I kick your stuff!!!!
