Is there a way (other than relying on an educated answer from the dealer) as to whether my 2010 Hemi need the studs?

 

I thought it was only 09 models that had the problem. I think that a lot of paranoid people are causing service people to go nuts. People with 2010 trucks going in asking for fuel saver light???? Why, you already have it, called ECO, just cuz they read someone with an early build 09 doesn't have it they start checking there's, check your window sticker. I think eventually we are going to have to separate the threads by year. Do you really think a car company would continue to build vehicles using bad parts and then sell it to you like that? Not. It would possible get put on because it needs to be on to work then they will sit in a parking lot or field somewhere and repair teams will go out there and replace the parts before they get to you provided they know of the problem in advance. Sometimes they ship to dealer and they have to hold it until the parts get there or they may already have new parts? All kinds of scenarios but because his truck ticks, don't go out and start listening for ticks cuz you will find one. Just enjoy your truck and maintain it and you should be good to go. Some of us will have problems, but think about everything else you buy, 2 year old fridge...leaking water from somewhere. Got to do with being frost free as it was called before all fridges became this way, obvious hose came off, but how much to fix it, 400,300?
